Rand Miller was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and just about any kind of physical sport that will work up a sweat.
He enjoys spending his weekends with his wife and five children. He has lived in Los Angeles County since 1987, and has been a resident of Santa Clarita since 1990. He has attended Faith Community Church for the past 8 years and is a member of the congregation.
He accepted Christ as his Savior on August 17th 1973. He attended a Christian School throughout grade 6-11th. He was involved in sports throughout junior high and high school. His favorite sport was wrestling which he excelled in, placing 1st in many state tournaments and placing 2nd & 3rd in the tri-state tournaments at his weight class.
During his younger years until he graduated he worked on local farms, hunted, hiked, and fished in LaCrosse Wisconsin, a small city overlooking the Mississippi River.
Upon graduation he joined the Army and served for four years. His initial two years consisted of serving in the coveted 1/75th Airborne Ranger Battalion during 1983-85. During which he participated in the Battle of Granada "Urgent Fury". His platoon participated in the fiercest fighting of that battle incurring the most casualties. Three of his special operation team members including his team leader and room mate were killed during the Battle. He was quickly promoted to Special Operations Gun Team Leader due to his superior performance.
After completing his two grueling years with the Rangers he was promoted to Sergeant and selected along with 6 other Rangers to develop the West Coast 7th Infantry Division Air Assault & Rappel Master Courses at Fort Ord California. During his remaining two years of service he trained over 5900 infantryman on Pathfinder, Air Assault, Rappel Master, and Light Infantry operations.
He began his career in Real Estate Finance in 1987 upon being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He worked as a retail loan officer form 1987 to 1989. He then worked as a Wholesale Production Manager for Golden State Bank from 1989-90. He developed and serviced relations with approximately 65 mortgage brokerage firms. He analyzed all loan packages to determine fundability. Part of his responsibilities included educating mortgage brokers regarding bank products, services, and underwriting/funding guidelines. He further developed Bank's funding strategy to allow for more flexible loan programs for borrowers with low downpayment as well as problem credit.
Rand L. Miller founded Atlantic Security Financial in 1991 as Managing Broker. He is responsible for all aspects of the companies Real Estate finance operation. He personally manages the loan processing system to insure prompt loan funding.
Rand L. Miller has solved hundreds of sophisticated financial problems for people with the help of flexible financing. He is well versed in helping the self-employed as well as corporate officers with complex financial situations acquire real estate. He also has over 10 year's experience helping people who have less than perfect credit buy and refinance real estate.
He has been one of the front runners helping people buy real estate with 100% financing. The programs he uses have proven to be very flexible in allowing people who don't have a down payment but who have stable employment afford to purchase their home with 100% financing. He has proven during the past 12 years that he will do whatever is necessary to help people become homeowners.
As a Veteran he has proven during the past 12 years that he is one of California's leading Veteran Lending Managers. He is devoted to helping veterans achieve their dream of owning a home. Daily he consults Veterans on how to finance real estate with the VA and CalVet loan programs as well as all the other loan programs available to Veterans. His thick file of "thank you letters" and "letters of recommendation" from past clients speak volumes of the quality of service he and Atlantic Security Financial offer their clients.
He is also active in informing Christians on political issues that affect Christians and their families. Each election period since 1994 he has helped coordinate the distribution of 15,000-20,000 pro-family voter guides to the 50+ churches within SCV. He also is very active in informing SCV Christians on issues by fax, email, and newsletter. He is very pro-Christian, pro-Family, and pro-America.
Recently Rand Miller has dedicated part of his time and resources to help coordinate the "aChristianBiz.Net Directory and Networking Mixer" for Santa Clarita. His goal is to introduce the Christian businesses to the tens of thousands of Christians in SCV. He has had such an enjoyable time during past years hearing the testimonies of the Christian Businessmen and Women of SCV, and would like more people to know these outstanding Christian men and women.
